Once you have created a document in WordPad, you can change the text to make it look more attractive.  You can change the sizes, styles, fonts and color of text in your document.

First let's change the font of your text.  To do so, select some text.

  Click on the image for page view.

Choose the font face from the font menu.

The font is changed.

To change the color of the text, select it and click on the Color icon .

Choose the color you want, and the color of the selected text is changed.

Let's now change the size of that text. Select the text and click on the Font size pulldown.

Choose the size.

The font size of the selected text is changed.

You can choose to make the text bold.   To do so, select the text and click on the bold icon.

You can also make it appear italic by clicking on the italic icon.

To underline selected text, click on the underline icon.

Now you can see that you have the selected text bolded, italicized, and underlined, with the color you choose, and the size and font of your choice.

The steps that were just shown can be used with any selected text. You can select, words, sentences, paragraphs, or parts of any of these.

You can change the alignment of a paragraph or series of paragraphs in Wordpad.

To center a paragraph, select the text and click on the centre icon.

The selected paragraph is aligned at the centre as shown.

You can left-align or right-align a paragraph by following the same steps as in the preceding example, but then clicking on the right-align or left-align buttons in the toolbar.
